The IAWCSF Board of Directors is comprised of a voluntary group of wound care certified clinicians who oversee the activities of the IAWCSF.
Monessa (Missy) Wadford, BSN, RN, WCC, OMS – President- Missy has been a Registered Nurse since 1994. Missy received her Wound Care Certification (WCC) in 2006, and Ostomy Management Specialist (OMS) in 2013. Her experience includes staff nursing, management, policy and procedure development, and education in wound and ostomy care. Missy was the recipient of WCC of the year in 2012. She also has served on the Certification Committee as a Subject Matter Expert and Committee Chair.
Cheryl Carver, LPN, WCC, CWCA, DAPWCA, FACCWS – Vice President – Cheryl’s experience includes over 20 years in wound care as a wound nurse, educator, and writer. Cheryl has written over 200 published white papers, ebooks, blogs, and articles. Cheryl was the first LPN certified in 2003 with the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy (NAWCO). She is an expert content writer and clinical educator for WoundSource, a member and speaker for the Association for the Advancement of Wound Care (AAWC), a Board of Directors and Diplomate for the American Professional Wound Care Association (APWCA), and Fellow for the American College of Wound Care Specialists (ACCWS).
Thomas Manyoki, LPN, WCC, IDC, HTC, IVC – Secretary/Treasurer – Thomas is a Wound Care Certified Nurse Instructor. Thomas first became interested in medicine while traveling the world. He observed first hand everything from technologically advanced care to folk medicine practiced by indigenous tribes. After returning to the United States Thomas pursued his interests in medicine. Multi-lingual he easy associates with many people from differing cultures and backgrounds. Thomas holds certifications in wound care, sharps debridement, OSHA , Infectious Disease, CPI , and PMDB Certified. He holds copyrights in wound care and is a Lamp Lighter award recipient for quality in Nursing.
Stanley Rynkiewicz, III RN, MSN, WCC, DWC, CCS, NHA, OMS, AWCC – Alternate Secretary/Treasurer – Stanley received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from Holy Family University. He proudly served his country as a Captain in the United States Air Force and got involved in-home care while stationed in Tampa, Florida. He earned his Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. Stanley has been with BHP Services as the Administrator of their home health care business line Deer Meadows Home Health and Support Services, LLC (DMHHSS) since 2009. He is also the Corporate Compliance Officer for BHP Services. DMHHSS is also accredited by the Community Health Accreditation Program (CHAP), and has been recognized by the CMS Home Health Compare website as a 5 Star Agency for over 4 years. Stanley holds the following certifications: Chronic Care Specialist (CCS), Wound Care Certified (WCC), Diabetic Wound Certified (DWC), Ostomy Management Specialist (OMS), and Advanced Wound Care Certified (AWCC).
LuAnn Reed DNP, RN, CRRN, BC-RN, LNHA, WCC, DWC – As the Associate Dean of Nursing at Fortis College, LuAnn is devoted to furthering the professional development of health care professionals through education and documentation standardization. Devoting much of her career to wound care development and education, LuAnn became WCC certified in 2005. LuAnn was recognized by the National Alliance of Wound Care and Ostomy and voted as WCC of the Year in 2007 and Researcher the Year in 2008. She was the Program Director of Wound Care at the Daniel Drake Center for Post Acute Care before taking the position of Associate Dean at Fortis College.
